Smurfs: The Lost Village is an upcoming 2017 American 3D computer-animated adventure-comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks. It is based on The Smurfs comic book series created by the Belgian comics artist Peyo and is a reboot film, unrelated to Sony's previous live-action/animated films. Written by Stacey Harman and Pamela Ribon, it is being directed by Kelly Asbury.
The film stars Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, Joe Manganiello as Hefty Smurf, Jack McBrayer as Clumsy Smurf, Danny Pudi as Brainy Smurf, and Rainn Wilson as Gargamel. In the story, a mysterious map prompts Smurfette, Brainy, Clumsy, and Hefty to find a lost village, inhabited by SmurfStorm (voiced by Michelle Rodriguez), SmurfBlossom (Ellie Kemper), SmurfLily, (Ariel Winter) SmurfWillow (Julia Roberts), and many more, before Gargamel does. The film is set for an April 7, 2017 release.

Synopsis
Smurfette attempts to find her purpose in the village. When she encounters a creature similar to her (A female smurf) in the Forbidden Forest who drops a mysterious map, she sets off with her friends Brainy, Clumsy, and Hefty to find the Lost Village (A village consisting of only females) before the evil wizard, Gargamel, does.
